What is Primate Trace?
Primate Trace is a vulnerability scanning platform that watches your entire attack surface — web apps, APIs, cloud accounts, containers, network devices, hosts and databases — and scores every finding on the same CVSS v4.0 scale, so your team always knows what to fix first. It's built to feel like the security tools real companies run, from the scan engine to the CVSS-scored reports.
What actually works, right now
This isn't a set of static screenshots. Every scan type below sends real requests to whatever target you point it at:
- WebApp + SSL — real HTTP requests, live TLS handshake inspection, security header and cookie checks
- API — real endpoint probing for authentication, authorization and data-exposure issues
- Network — real TCP connect probes across common ports
- Container — real lookups against the Docker Hub API for known CVEs
- Database — real connections to Postgres, MySQL and MongoDB targets you provide credentials for
- Cloud — real AWS, Azure and GCP SDK calls against your own account
About this project
Primate Trace is built and maintained as a cooperative education (co-op) project — a chance to build a full product end to end: authentication, a real scanning engine, CVSS scoring, team workflows and reporting, not just a design mockup.
